Hi, I just spent 38 days at UPMC Hillman Center on the Leukemia floor! I had APL! I received Arsenic Trioxide and Atra pills for 38 days! Had bone marrow biopsy and no APL in my marrow! I am now on Consolation therapy! 16 weeks one month on and one month off and Atra every two weeks! Told there was a 80 to 90 percent cure rate!

We are a rare bunch! I also was diagnosed in January!

Yes I’ve been fighting since November 24,2021. I was in remission from 12-31-21 until March 24, 2023 I had finished treatment in July 2022, however I was at my primary care doctor office at least once a month from September through February with stomach issues. They performed a stem cell transplant using my own stem cells in August 2023. I was about to start my immunization on 1-8-2024 the doctor comes back and tells me I have to go to the hospital because my platelets are at a 4 and I’m no longer in remission. Spent the next month and 2 weeks in the hospital 102 miles away from home.
Now I’m back in treatment until they find a donor for me.

Yes, and they say a worse round is on the way. I have been in my house for 8 months. This bug scares me.
