Folks may want to switch from imbruvica to calquence which is much better targeted, less side effects. I am doing good on it so far (2 weeks).

I’ve been on Imbruvica going on 5 years. It has worked wonders on my blood work results. My 2 biggest side effects have been diarrhea which I already had some GI issues before. My oncologist put me on a medication that has helped, and joint and muscle pains. Right now I have pain in my left shoulder and sometimes pain in both arms. But I am staying on the Imbruvica as long as it continues to work.

I’m in my 5th year of taking Imbruvica. It was started because my WBCs were over 250,000 after 3 years of watchful waiting. It has worked wonderfully on my blood work which is mostly back to normal Lately I’ve been having more joint pain that nothing really helps. I also have had more infections lately the last one being bronchitis which lasted about 5 weeks even on antibiotics. My immune system numbers are all low. Oncologist has talked about giving me an IVIG infusion before the winter hits. I do feel that the Imbruvica is working so I continue to take it. I feel it’s better than having to take IV chemo. Has anyone had IVIG? Any problems with it?
