I’ve been on Imbruvica going on 5 years. It has worked wonders on my blood work results. My 2 biggest side effects have been diarrhea which I already had some GI issues before. My oncologist put me on a medication that has helped, and joint and muscle pains. Right now I have pain in my left shoulder and sometimes pain in both arms. But I am staying on the Imbruvica as long as it continues to work.
Has anyone heard about a study showing after 34.5 weeks 79 people taking imbruvica out of 214 got Arthralgias/myalgias, joint stiffness and joint pain, I'm there and having stiffness in neck and pain in my back, sometimes other places , weather don't help, my hair, nails and, skin is not the same but blood work doing good some areas need help , I have high alkaline, Been on a wait , not taking imbruvica, my weight is going down ,not eating as much, had thrush problems and absess in tonsil, going to get a stress test to see how my heart is doing my left ventrical is not working as good I went from 61% to 51%, hope soon to start feeling stronger , like everyone else. God bless hope your day is filled with love and joy!
I’m in my 5th year of taking Imbruvica. It was started because my WBCs were over 250,000 after 3 years of watchful waiting. It has worked wonderfully on my blood work which is mostly back to normal Lately I’ve been having more joint pain that nothing really helps. I also have had more infections lately the last one being bronchitis which lasted about 5 weeks even on antibiotics. My immune system numbers are all low. Oncologist has talked about giving me an IVIG infusion before the winter hits. I do feel that the Imbruvica is working so I continue to take it. I feel it’s better than having to take IV chemo. Has anyone had IVIG? Any problems with it?
