I Am Having Severe Acid Reflux After Starting Treatment With Imbruvica

A MyLeukemiaTeam Member asked a question 💭
Horse Cave, KY

I was diagnosed with CLL/SLL in November of 2021. I was in watch and wait, but decided to start Imbruvica.
I am 9 days out with treatment. I have started having severe acid reflux. I feel like it is connected to the medication.
Has anyone else experienced acid reflux during treatment? Other than that I have done well.

I have been on Imbrevica since 2019, lately have started having acid reflex. If I slow my eating down and chew foods for longer times, that seems to help
Every so often I take Tums

You can get Omeprazole at Costco for cheap, and it works for me. But I'm not on meds right now.

Wouldn't hurt to ask your doctor and maybe take an over the counter Pepcid or omeprezole.
