How Many TKI"s Are Available For CML?
Joseph2 said it all. Gleevic is 1st generation and being around since 2000. I found out that's it's a lot less potent than the others, meaning less side effects. Standard dose is 400mg,people over 75 can go down to 300mg with less results, but still works and a less strain on the liver. It's all about the liver.keep extremely hydraded, and make sure vitamin D is on the high side. All of these medications cause dehydration. My dose was reduced to 300 gleevic with good results and no side effects. It's your body and don't be afraid to compromise with the doctor. Take care all, stay safe.
Dasatinib is a TKI I was on it for over 3 years with CML. There is also the below I am on Bosulif currently
These include:
Imatinib (Gleevec)
Dasatinib (Sprycel)
Nilotinib (Tasigna)
Bosutinib (Bosulif)
Ponatinib (Iclusig)
Asciminib (Scemblix)
Thanks for this info!
Dastinab is not one a TKI. I am sorry for the misinformation.
There is an article on this website: CML & Treatment Options It lists them by name.
