I only heard of LDH test recently. I understand it can indicate if the patient is susceptible to Richters Transformation. If the results are in the 200s to 300s, then the Richters is not a big threat. Numbers in the (Phone number can only be seen by the question and answer creators) range are less optimistic.
I believe that is the way to look at it. I’ll be getting my first LDH test in a few weeks.

thanks I just want to know what it is. The dr originally said iron def. from covid six months prior. Although he was iron def. we spent three mths. trying iron pills and infusions. He also had a blood transfusion at that time too.The blood test are all still abnormal. LDH high and blood flow cymetry shows 5 % myeloid blasts.

LDH shows tissue damage which can be caused by leukemia. Mine was high at dx but is back on normal range after being on meds only 8 weeks. My bm biopsy wasn’t terrible, it hurt but I had prepared myself for worst and it ended up not as bad as I had thought it wud b. Prayers to you both!

Those are sooo painful I had an emergency bed side bone marrow biopsy 8/17 it hurt and bruised badly then I had a ct guided bone marrow biopsy 10/9 that one hurt the worst but no bruising but my oncologist said it’s important cause they can see how aggressive the cancer is and it can help give the best treatment.
