Been a blood done my whole life. B Positive. And of course, it makes sence that I couldn't donate anymore. I suspect if your in need of a donated organ... say my heart or liver, me having CLL is less a concern. I just miss donating blood.

And it was a beautiful warm day here in Michigan. Did a bunch of yard working usually can't do till at least the middle of March. Did too much.... have a headache and I feel oozy... time for a nap.

sounds obvious to me as the organ is needed not blood.

I started with polycythemia vera for which I got phlebotomies ( draining off about a pint of blood .It could not be used for anybody,was discarded.When it advanced to AML at first I was told if I had tests I might be able to donate organs ,but later was told I can donate my body for medical use ,which I will do,Mary10

I was told I can't go give blood ..due to I have leukemia I have O positive blood..How about you? I never signed up to b a Doner....

Before I was diagnosed the folks collecting blood wondered at the white cells but took the blood anyway.
