Oh Patsi!!! I have to laugh - sleep has been such an adventure the pass two years! For the longest time I slept from 6:30 PM - 2:30 AM that really was horrible. Last night I had the worlds worse knot in my shoulder so I had to take some pain meds. (aleve) Slept 10 hours - best sleep ever.... and I feel amazing today. I never did this, but talk to your team! My always recommended melatonin when I was in the hospital getting chemo - I never tried it. One time I had a rash so they told me to take Bendaryl, now that was another good nights sleep! LOL

I wish you te best at getting some sleep, I found that sleep and water are the two most crucial things! Who knew!

It sounds like you're having trouble with sleep, which is quite common for individuals dealing with leukemia. Here are a few tips that might help improve your sleep:

1. Melatonin Supplements: Melatonin is a natural hormone that signals your body it's time to sleep. Taking melatonin supplements could help regulate your sleep cycle.

2. Medical Marijuana: Some people find relief from insomnia with medical marijuana, as it can help induce sleep.

3. Valerian Root: This is a natural herb that many find helpful in falling asleep. It's available as a supplement.

4. Magnesium: This supplement has helped others with leukemia to achieve better sleep, as it can have a calming effect on the nervous system.

5. Good Sleep Hygiene: Stick to a regular sleep schedule, avoid screens before bed, and create a comfortable sleeping environment.

6. Physical Activity: Regular, light exercise can improve sleep quality, but it's important to find a balance that doesn't exacerbate fatigue.

If these methods don't help, it might be beneficial to discuss this with your healthcare provider. They can offer additional support or treatment options tailored to your specific needs.

I thought we just had problems with being to warm? During the winter sometimes I over heat? In the spring and summer I use a fan to stay cool. During the day I am very active by doing property tasks or helping others. During the afternoon I relax and find by 9 PM I am ready to pull the plug and sleep. between 5-6 AM I am ready to repeat. I am 72 but retired for 14 years. In the past I had visited the gym 3 times a week but now I find doing my property actives is good exercise or walking 2-4 miles a day. I think we show find out what we can do then pace ourselves to develop a routine which provides the right amount of activities to require us to sleep to renew ourselves. I think people who take naps during the day have developed a routine which help them ge through their day. I am not a health nut but I try to stay busy. My wife sleeps 10 to 12 hours per night. I like to surprise my wife by doing house work to make her day easier? I hope you find the answer to finding rest at night? Please share you discovery since it may help others.
