What Causes The LDH To Rise In CLL?

my LDH went to 360 then dropped back to a normal 160. No real explanation but did get my attention. I'm not on treatment, just wait and hold.

If LDH is higher than normal, it can be an indication that the treatment (or drugs prescribed) for cancer isn't working well enough and may need to be changed.

If or when LDH is high, it's an indication of the severity of certain types of cancer like the leukemias we have. Because it's an assessment of tissue damage anemia, it can also be an indication of how well treatment is working. But yours dropped back to normal so it's a 'wait and see.'
