Has Anybody Out There Developed Alopecia Since Being On Tasigna?
Yes, hair loss can occur with Tasigna (nilotinib) treatment. According to the knowledge base, 8 percent to 13 percent of people who take nilotinib experience hair loss, depending on the dose. However, hair loss from leukemia therapy is usually not permanent, and hair should grow back once the treatment is stopped. If you Show Full Answer
Thank You Monica. God bless you too!
I do understand. β€οΈ. Heβs a good God and has great plans for us.
I asked my oncologist what other people are experiencing on this med in regard to hair loss but he said I was his first one with this much thinning and loss. With CML being rare, there is probably mot a large volume of people to even compare. Either way, we are in the palm of His almighty hands and will not fear. God bless you
At first it was one completely bald spot during the first year on Tasigna. Last year(6 years later) it turned into Alopecia according to the Dr.s. Huge bald spots on the sides, back and bottom of my head. I had long beautiful hair down to my knees staring out and I dont cut my hair. So this is a bummer for me. I miss it but my faith in The Lord Jesus tells me that it will come back. I dont have the option of saying it will regrow when I stop treatment because I have to stay on the Tasigna for the rest of my life. So I put it all in HIS Hands and wait.
