I Was Always Able To Eat Anything Without Nausea. Now I Have To Be Very Careful, Or The Nausea Will Rear It Ugly Head.
Is there a connection between nausea and Leukemia? And does anyone else have that problem
I had taken every prescription nausea medication available and Reglin worked the best until one of my doctors suggested marijuana. I was able to obtain some in a vape pen and with only a couple of small doses I was almost immediately relieved of my nausea and had an increase in appetite. I now administer it before my meal and I am able to eat much better than without it.
Betsy, I am wrapping you in hugs. It seems I can't eat things I used to enjoy - spicy or tomato-based foods are particularly upsetting. I hope you find your support group soon.
Yes I have nausea and have found that ginger ale with lunch seems to help. Some days worse than others. Hope this helps.
John, I found this... So your answer is YES.
What causes nausea in leukaemia?
Leukaemia cells entering the Central Nervous System (CNS)
Leukaemia can cause your white blood cell count to rise to a dangerously high level. Excess levels of white blood cells can cause the blood to thicken and clog up the small vessels that supply the brain and spinal cord (cerebrospinal fluid). As well as nausea, this can also lead to symptoms such as headaches, double vision, vertigo, weakness, and sometimes seizures.
