I am now in 'deep remission' and my oncologist is able to stop my Calquence prescription. How has/have anyone reacted.... do the side effect subside dissappear?

I changed from a chemo treatment after 2 therapies due to impact on my neutrophil count dropping & platelets to a high risk of infection! My Dr. asked me to change to Blincyto which has a lower risk impact of infection.
It did have a lower risk that kept my blood count higher in the platelets, hemoglobin & neutrophil counts. I had no side effects & was tremendously successful for me.
I have ALL & in remission. I have 2 more maintenance therapies to go & will finish my therapies in February of 2025!
I was diagnosed on 1/5/2023.
I feel blessed & highly recommend the use of Blincyto!
God bless you & will pray 🙏 for you Samantha!

Janet..... I started both infusion treatments and oral treatment (Calquence) June of 2022, when I went to the hospital with 'critical blood labs ' for a week. I responded well to both treatments.

I will be glad to stop taking the Calquence. The side effects can, and have been comparable to the CLL itself. But taking it did bring favorable results, hence the remission.

Best of luck to you Janet, I hope you respond to your treatment plan as well as I did.

Start taking Vitamin D3 or D4 for a healthier immune system. And eating healthy has been good medicine. Don't view fatigue as an inconvenience, but rather sleep as therapy.

I have been off CALQUENCE for a few months now. Engery is slowly coming back, I'm beginning to feel like my old self again.....

So far, I'm not on any medication and still symptom free. I'm glad you're in remission, and I pray you stay that way.
