Bosutinib (Bosulif) is a great TKI with fewer side effects than some of the other medications. Nothing to worry about just stay in good communication with your oncologist about any questions or concerns you notice!

Hi Kelly-Jo, I also have CML but I have not taken Bosulif. But this doesn't mean I never will take this drug. Please don't let all the possible side effects of any medication scare you. These kinds of things can happen, and have happened to some patients, and this is the reason they are listed. Talk to your doctor and tell him you are afraid to take this drug. If you begin taking any cancer drug, and have side effects that cause you discomfort, you can always stop taking it. All cancer medications have side effects, but some of these effects are worse for some people than other medications are. I have been taking CML medications for 5 years. I had to stop taking one of them because I was having heart pains. So my doctor just prescribed a different one. After that, I was OK. Don't be afraid. You can always stop taking it if you have any problems. All these possible side effects must be listed so you will know what to do if you have any of them. Good luck, sweety, and be brave.
