Chronic leukemia and acute leukemia are distinct types of leukemia with different characteristics. Chronic leukemias grow more slowly and may take months or years before symptoms appear, while acute leukemias develop and worsen quickly. Chronic leukemia cells are more mature but not fully developed, whereas acute leukemia cells are very immature and can't perform necessary blood cell functions.

While chronic leukemia does not typically transform into acute leukemia, it is important to monitor and manage the condition with your healthcare provider.
