Good people, I'm so sorry for about your issues with the doctors and the medication therapies. My heart goes out to each of you who are having difficulties. This makes my medical issues insignificant compared to yours. I'm bless to have a great oncologist. May God give you strength and determination in your endeavors to obtain the best medical assistance. đź‘Ť

In the past I visited my doctor and I did not get answers to questions I asked (I had 50% of the questions answered but I was "testing" my doctor.) My doctor became invisible and the nurse practitioner (smarter than my doctor) became my medical main contact. What I am saying is that a doctor may be in training or not have enough experience to know the answers? If there is a problem with a person's health I think all doctors should RESPOND to resolve the health concern versus saying, "I don't think this can happen?" If there is an ill affect then the medication should be stopped and corrective action taken to restore a person's health. Just because something is approved does not mean it will be all good and effective for a person's health. All medications list ill affects because people are different and this may cause an ill affect.

Adding, it bothered me that your Oncology Nurse told you your symptoms were not from treatment… However, on Gazyva website as I already knew… There can be many symptoms & lasting affects long after this treatment… Please, definitely see your Primary & maybe a baseline study w/Cardiologist for your own sake. I care… I had to have testing prior to this treatment & again next month. Any kind of abnormal swelling in your legs, ankles, feet are another indicator that treatment could have affected your heart. I always use the Drug Website for any & all drugs I’m on for my question’s… Gazyva also has an 800 number for future reference… I hope this is further help to you. Stay safe & keep me posted!🧡

Sheryl2, thanks I tried calling my oncologist and the nurse said it shouldn't have any issues from the Gazyva. But im going to call my primary care doc and see what he says.

Preach. My current doc of about 5 years just tried "bouncing" me to another doctor because he (my doc) chose to take on his workload and a doctor who left the practice and they chose not to or couldn't replace (UHC owned practice now). He also said I was too labor intense - I guess I asked too many questions. I was then ghosted by the 2nd doc and couldn't get medication needed, so went back. No wonder a CEO was shot in the middle of Manhattan. We are all so fed up as are family members. Between my parents, my child and me, I feel like I've spent a big part of my life just fighting insurance and wealthcare.
