I think the "wait & watch" just observes a person until organ failure maybe a problem? My first year of being watched I continued to visit the gym 3 times a week and my doctor never told me anything except "don't worry?" No answers to my questions during the 5 minute visit. My new medical team used "share & care" and I became more informed with answers to my questions and a request for medication. I now realize that during watch and wait the B or T cells can mutate and cause new problems? Medication only "controls" the illness and if it mutates the medicine is ineffective. New medications are being develops which do not use the BTK Inhibitor process but BCL2 (B cell leukemia2.)

The "watch and wait" period for chronic lymphocytic leukemia (CLL) involves monitoring the condition without starting treatment immediately. This approach is common because CLL often progresses slowly, and early treatment may not improve outcomes. During this time, regular check-ups track symptoms and test results. Treatment begins if symptoms worsen or tests show progression. This strategy helps avoid unnecessary side effects and maintain quality of life.
