MZL is Marginal Zone Lymphoma which is one of the vast types of Lymphoma and belongs to the subtype known as Non-Hodgkins Lymphoma. AML is Acute Monocytic Leukemia which is what I have. It rapidly attacks the monocytes in your blood and bone marrow causing your to have critical white blood counts and if untreated, you can die within days. This disease is unrelenting and you honestly, in my experience, get to a point before you go to the drs office or an ED that you can ignore it.
There is a wonderful article on the Leukemia and Lymphoma Society. I have attached the link for you to get better info than I can give you and you can also research other types of blood cancers like AML as well. Better to be informed than to be clueless when making treatment decisions for yourself or when helping out a family member that has been diagnosed. Best wishes in whatever journey you are traveling.
