My sll is in stage 4 will that have me in cll as well?

This is a rudimentary explanation but here goes: SLL is confined to lymph nodes and can typically be treated with radiation. CLL can have lymph node involvement but typically is in the blood and not confined to the nodes. The reason there is “less distinction” between the two is that your lymph nodes and blood contain the same type of cells: myeloid, lymphocytes and neutrophils. Unlike liver cancer, where the cancer is found in “liver cells”, CLL and SLL cancers effect the same “type” of cell.

Chronic Lymphocytic Leukemia (CLL) and Small Lymphocytic Lymphoma (SLL) are essentially the same disease but differ in where the cancer cells are primarily located:
