LGL Makes You Extremely Tired. Any Way To Gain Energy?!
Hi Margaret
I had a bone marrow biopsy and found out I Had MDS -on cemo-still makes me very tired and looking for the couch
Hi Norman! The only way I know to gain energy (besides asking your oncologist if there is some special treatment??) is to eat right, get plenty of fluids and rest. Then you might have some extra energy in the morning for an hour or two.
Low blood levels (especially red blood cells, which take oxygen all over the body) cannot deliver oxygen and nutrients to your cells in enough quantity to give more energy at a cellular level. Thus your energy levels remain low.
It is not fun, but it is what it is. My first major symptom (before I knew I was ill) was extreme fatigue. All summer 2 years ago I was mad at myself because I thought I was being lazy (was not getting chores done). A regular pre-scheduled appointment with my doctor for my check-up revealed that many blood levels were way off! He sent me to his preferred oncologist, who soon revealed my illness (Acute Myeloid Leukemia). Though I still have fatigue, it was nice to know I was not being lazy; I was ill! It seems that fatigue goes along with cancer. Talk to your oncologist and ask him/her for help. God bless!
