Does Anyone Who Has CLL Have Their WBC Fluctuate Up And Then Go Down? My White Blood Count Has Been Going Up And Down Every 3 To 6 Months.

Is that normal for CLL?

My WBC goes up and down as well. This is due to the fluctuation of my absolute lymphocytes. When they spike the rest of my white blood cells go down. I was 16.3 on my ab lymph and my neutrophils were at 0.7. my WBC was 19.6. 2 weeks later my ab lymph was 12.2 and my neutrophils were at 4.4 and WBC at 16.2. It's a rollercoaster ride.

yes. My doc recently said not to worry about WBC. Whatever that means. More important is neutrophils as Bob mentioned. And if you are starting a new drug, remember that it is to activate your system so the general rule is your counts will go up before they come down. I was on Calquence for a month and my WBC went from 158 to 6. Looks shocking but I guess that's the magic.

Hi Marilyn!
I have CLL and my white cells are doing the same thing as yours…
I’m meeting with my oncologist tomorrow to find out why…
I do blood work once a week and last week it was 3.2 and this week it’s 2.4 Very frustrating
If I learn anything tomorrow from my doctors appointment I’ll share it with you. Hugs
