My AML Is Back For The Fourth Time. I Was Back In The Hospital For 12 Days. At Home Recovering. I Have Been Fighting For 3 Yrs 8 Months
Hi Carol4, Fighting AML is a constant battle but everyday we have is a blessing. I was diagnosed with these disease in March, 2020 at age 75. I have been on Vidaza IV since that time and doing well so far. At first, I was started on oral Venteclexa which was ramped up from 100mg to 400mg in three days which is standard protocol. On the fourth day I was in the hospital for the next week. Since then it has been Vidaza alone. My oncologist recently reduced my monthly infusions from five days to three days a month so we will see how that goes. I am very grateful to still being alive and doing well. I keep up with he latest developments in treating AML. There are a number of new drugs that are in trials and and getting favorable results so we will see. I am in communication with the good Lord everyday which gives a lot of peace. Blessings to you and our fellow warriors.
🙏🏻. Keep fighting!
Is there any other way to determine you have AML then a bone marrow biopsy?
I am 78 yrs old way to old for that.
