Hi Leah3,
I agree with the others, getting or needing treatment depends on many things. Symptoms, WBC counts, RBC counts, if you are able to fight infections, how quickly your counts double, within a certain amount of time and it also can depend on how you are feeling. With CLL you can be fine one day and in the hospital the next. SO it is good to monitor and ask your oncologist any about any concerns or questions you may have.

I think it’s a concern if your lymphocytes double in a year; however, if you have no other symptoms or they are mild, they may not treat but rather monitor you a bit more frequently. Good luck. ❤️🙏

I’m no doctor but was told it’s a combination of symptoms and numbers. I’ve had it 4 years at least, known about it 2 1/2 years. I’ve had swollen lymph nodes that wax and wane while my numbers increased. My spleen is swollen and I get a lot of infections. I’m being offered infusions of antibodies to help with the infections and to participate in a drug trial. I haven’t started yet. Good luck

Starting treatment usually depends on symptoms.
