Hi Jo,
I have been on my JAK inhibitor a year the 18th. Basically, it works just like the drugs you mentioned.
I will stay on it because it keeps my lymphocytes and wbc down toward a normal range. That lets me know it is definitely keeping more cancer cells from growing and spreading.
Unless, I develop any issues from the drug itself, I will continue my journey on it.

I'm surprised a doc would deflect an answer with a half truth but that seems to be the case these days. Yes some quite elderly people bruise more easily but I've often noticed it is because they are on a med like bloodthinners. I believe these drugs even list bruising as a side effect. Knowledge is power but docs are so fearful these days they fail to impart it. Sad.

I have been taking Calquence going on 1.5 years now. No complaints. it seems to be a functional cure!

I do not know yet what my doctor will have me do. He knows what he is doing. I go back for 3 month check in January 2025. You never get rid of leukemia I guess, you just try to keep it under control and monitor your spleen, lymph nodes, and other organs. Just try and ride it out.

I have been on Calquence for 1 year now with good results. Went from 2 a day down to one tablet now. Some side affects, but I just roll with it and have watched my blood counts drop all year.
