Last September I read an article that mentioned eating healthy and exercising is very important. There is a big difference between treatment and medication? I think of treatment as something like chemo which can possibility be toxic and carcinogenic? There are many types of medications for all the different leukemias. The current medication for CLL "control" the illness by inactivating the B or T cells. The medication is good until the cells mutate so the medication becomes ineffective. This process is called "BTK Inhibitor" which attaches to the bad cells and does not attack organs or good cells. I was with a doctor who used "watch & wait" which to me meant no information and wait until you get really super sick? My new doctor uses "share & care" which means I was told everything possible about my health and being healthy and happy wee very important. I think doctor do not prescribe medication I is because of the expense ($15500/mth.) There are organizations which provide grants (Leukemia Society.) Before medication I was 75K and today 6.9K. This morning I load 1/2 ton of oak in my truck on my way to the gym and when I got home I unloaded the wood. Last summer I split 2 cords of oak to heat my house. I think the more information we have the better our choices are to have a healthy and happy life.

Hi Tom,
I have not heard of a natural way to cure leukemia, but I know there are ways people have shared that certainly help with the symptoms of leukemia.

Hi Tom:) Eating healthy as you have been and staying active is very important for the entire body as well as the lymphatic system. I've been on watch and wait for 8 yrs and thankfully no major rise in numbers and my lymph nodes have stayed the same:) I ate healthy prior to my diagnosis and have always been active so that was and still is a major positive. Being that it is cancer in our blood, I feel that there is no way to cure it so to speak. Yes, thankfully now, there are targeted therapies and other type of treatments that are not as brash as chemo that can help one get into remission.

Yes, I have been eating very clean, juicing, Turmeric, IP6 gold, and my numbers have been stable for a year and a half. My lymph nodes have stayed the same size. Still noticeable, but not sore or getting larger. Lots of praying as well, When the time comes for treatment, I heard the targeted treatments now for CLL are very good. I just want to put off treatment as long as I can. Thanks for your input.

Tom i haven't heard of a cure but i was diagnosed with CLL in June and took a lot of different supplements Turmeric, Immune Boosters and Herbal Teas, prayed a lot, exercised and loss weight and my numbers decreased at my last doctor's visit. I guess it all depends on what type of leukemia you have.
