Why Doesn't This Social Media Call CMML A Type Of Leukemia?
I was diagnosed with CMML in 2017…I cried for 3 weeks.
I don’t have any symptoms at all with the exception of abnormal labs.
I eat a lot of fermented foods, and even ferment my own choices.
I drink Noni concentrate juice and add a tablespoon each of AS vinegar and honey.
I surround myself with my dog and 4 cats. I carry G-d with me every second of every day, as I’m sure we all do.
I do Tai Chi and exercise in a saltwater pool.
We all have our personal health regimens..they are all good.
Dodie, I also have CMML, having been diagnosed a year ago. My numbers are still stable so I'm not on any medication yet. Fatigue is overwhelming most days but I can rest or nap when needed. My faith in the Lord sustains me and my family and friends uphold me in prayer. I can truthfully say that I am blessed. I hope you are having a good day. God is good.
I have CMML-2. Very rare. Only 1000 cases a year. Survival average is about 3 years but could be anywhere from 1-5. No one has survived more than 5. I plan to break that record. If my knee wasn’t keeping me down I would not know there was anything wrong with me. I feel great. I’m in remission and my numbers are a bit on the low side of normal. I don’t take any medication. I do have fatigue but i have the luxury of taking a break or a nap. My faith sustains me. I wouldn’t be here if the good Lord did not answer my prayers and the prayers of all my family and friends. I’m truly blessed and if the Lord wants me home, I’m going with joy.
Chronic myelomonocytic leukemia (CMML) is cancer of the blood. CMML is considered to be one of the myeloproliferative neoplasms (MPNs), a type of chronic blood cancer in which a person's bone marrow does not make blood effectively.
It is a Leukemia and is recognized by the LLS.org and W.H.O. (2016) and the MDS foundation, hospitals, COE, the NIH and others.. It took awhile for the science to catch up to the nuances in the data that has accumulated over time. The classification can be confusing as there are many variations to this theme. An example is MDS/MPN, MDS/MPN CMML, MDS-RS CMML it's just crazy. So many folks accounting for so many classifications.
